News was received this morning of a burglary that took place early yes1 oiday morning at Alananui post oft.re. The safe was blown open, and a cash box was taken containing £132 in gold and nates, also £100 of unpaid moaoy orders. The premises were safaly lo lied up at 8.30 on the previous everii g. The next morning tho post yAlica v.as found open, and the safe lyin^ on its side, with tho contents scattered about. A quantity of clay and tucking was lying near the safe, aiid evidently had been used to deaden the explosion. There is no clue to tho pt ipetrators.
