The following applications to purchase the freehold of occupation licenses, with right of purchase under section 174 of the Land Act, 1908, were approved:—Elisha Lockington, section 99, lock x., and section 91, block x., Rcsfton, 99 acres; Elisha Lockington, section 102, block x., Reefton, 30 acres. It was resolved to rescind the resolution of the 13th October, 1910, and grant Mr W. Meaiis an occupation license of 17 acres at an annual rental of £1 10s.

It was resolved that Mrs Catherine! O'Donnoll •be allowed to the Ist October next to effect the statutory improvements on her pastoral license of section 73, block x., Reefton. Exemptions from residence were granted during the pleasure of the Board to H. E. Burnett, section 10, block x., Wai-iti; E. R. Burnett, section 13, block x., Wai-iti; W. H. Burnett, sctction 11. block x, Wai-iti; Mrs A. McConochiej sections 4 and 19, Hope; T. N. McConochie, sections 25 and 27, block iii., Hope. Resolved, that the lease of F. J. Hampson, re improvements on section 1, block xiii., Reefton, issue as from this date at a rental previously fixed. Resolved, that H. C. Knapp, section 4, block x., Motupiko, 432 acres, be given six months to effect statutory improvements, failing which the lease will be cancelled.

Resolved, that G. B. Watson, sections 1 and 7, blocks ix. and x., Pakawau, 1921 acres, be called upon to show cause why his license shall not be cancelled for non-compliance with improvement conditions.

It was resolved on the application by J. A. Berry to have reservation lifted from section 8, block xii., Ma-ruia district (raining reserve), to recommend that the reservation be lifted under section 326 of the Land Act, 1908, for disposal to adjoining owner, under section 131—capital value £1 per acre. ■

It was resolved to recommend that the reservation be lifted from section 5, block ix., Inangahua, 171 a. lr. 25p. (scenic).

It was rcisolved that the exchange of freehold for Crown land in block vi., Motupiko district, as submitted by the Commissioner, be approved.

The pastoral license of S. Scholofield, junr., 223 acres, block v., Matakitaki was cancelled for non-pay-ment of rent.

Transfars were approved fis follows: Section .20, block viii., Inangahua, 1005 acres, J. H. Ward and F. Knight to J. H. Ward (subject to the consent of the Minister of Lands); section 9, block xi., Motueka, 75a. Or. 20p., It. F. C. Stade to J. Drummond; block x, Kaitoriteri, 36 acres, J. Clark, senior, to F. Clark.
