HAYWARD'S PICTURES.

The Theatre Royal was crowded to the doors last evening, and many were unable to obtain admission. The new programme included the Children's Beauty Competition, which was, of course, specially attractive, people coming from long distances to s;oe it. Upwards of 70 specimens of beauty were on exhibition, and the show greatly pleased- the audience. The competition will not close for a week or more. The programme of animated pictures was of widp range, and every scries was highly interesting. "Her Mother's Wedding Gown" j's the title of one of the most pathetic dramas that hasl yet appeared on the screen, "Hunting the Hippopotamus on the River Nile," gives some of the. most charming views of this ancient river. These views and tho exciting hunt render this item one of special interest. "Tho Poacher" is a drama with a pretty love story, making a happy ending. "Tunny Fishing," illustrates thp daily work of the men engaged in the Mediterranean, fisheries. "Does She Love Me"'and "Tho Two Hats," are farces which gave the audience a very merry time. "The ticket of Leave Man" is a touching, true story. The entertainment is excellent in all its parts-, and we have no doubt it will draw a full house every night.
