HAYWARD'S PICTURES.

An unquestionably fine and most varied collection of new films is promised by Hay ward's in their new programme to-night, in addition to the great attraction of the first section of the children's beauty competition. Tho new pictures are strong dramatically, and full of variety. There is a charming drama telling how a 3'oung girl runs away to become a great singer, and returns great, to find her mother dead. She puts on her mother's wedding gown and sings within tho cottage "Annie Laurie," her father, who said he would not receive her back, coming in in the belief that his dead bride 'had returned to him. A splendidly trained coClie is a leading performer in the little drama. "The Poach e-r" is a strong Pathe art production, interesting both as a beautiful coloured picture and as a drama. The Pathe, element is strong, since there is a fine number of the Gazette with many moving events, including the funeral of tlie Prince of Teck, and an extraordinary aviation scene, which ends in the blowing up of the "Morning Post's" huge airship to the serious injury of some of the spectators, including ladies. Then there, is a picture of "Hippo Hunting on tho Nile" which transports the spectator into the very heart of Africa, as though he were actually present. "Tunny Fishing" is another interesting film, and there are others which space wi'il not permit us to deal with to-day. Tho children's beauty competition will commence this evening when the first section of photographs will be shown. The second will commence on Saturday. At the matinee both sections will be shown.
