Ohristchnrch, March 13. The final match for the Hawke Cup commenccid at Hagley Pary to-day in fine weather. Southland batted first and made 345 (D. Hamilton. 110, E. J. Kavanagh 64, Fraser, not out 51, J. W. H. Bannerman 40, and H. Irvin 27, being the highest scorers). Rangitikei in the first innings made only 74 (E. W. Broad 43). In* the second mmngs Rangitikei have lost 3 wickets for 49.
