WINS CHAMPIONSHIP.

The Taranaki Rifle Association concluded a most successful meeting today in excellent weather. There was remarkably good and consistent ■shooting throughout.
In tho grand aggregate Sergeant Erank (Nelson) takes the champion belt presented by Private King, the gold medal, and £2, with a score of 337 ; .Rifleman Shepherd, a silver medal, and £1. 10s, 33G; Private Short (Taranaki Guards), £1, 334; Sergeant HopeweJl (Eltham Rifles), ]os, 331.
Sergeant 11. Frank, of the Nelson Rifles, at Feilding yesterday won the champion belt and gold modal at the rifle championship meeting.
.^ At the Wairarapa Rifle Association's annual merting, held at Greytown on Wednesday, Lieut. Irvine ai'id Sergeant Fra.nk, of Nelson, were among the competitors. Each won £1 in. the Greytoun match, 500 and 700 yards, with scores of 60, and Sergeant Frank won 10s in the Petono match (with 46 out of 50 at 800 yards), and £1 in the optional aggregate match (14 shots at 500, 14 at 600, tvnd 10 at 800), with a score of 177 out of a possible of 100. .
