A LABOUR PLEDGE.

The Labour Conference, on Mr Watson's motion, adapted a pledge to be taken by Labour members m tn« Upper Hou'ko and renewed after each general election, involving a promise to do their utmost to promote the carrying out of the Labour platform and the, abolition of the Upper House.. Members signing the pledge will form a caucus of Legislative Councillors, but will not be allowed to participate in the Assembly caucus. The two can- j ou.ses of the Houses however, may confer on matters of mutual concern.
