was any surplus it might be devoted to providing a cot at tho Hospital. The motion was then put and carried by -a show of hands, Mr Colin Campbell being the suily dissentient. The. following committee, was then set up to consider the best means of giving effect to the resolution, and report to a general meeting: Tho Mayor Messrs J. 11. Cock, W. Rout, C V I'YJI, H. Baigent, Win. Rogers, V. AY. Hamilton, Alfred Grceuiield, Captain Hammond and the secretary and treasurer ex officio. As Messrs Cock and Baigent will bo leaving for England shortly tho committee was empowered to fill vacancies when the same occurred. Tlie meeting then adjourned after a vote of thanks to tho Mayor.
