LOYAL HOAVARD LODGE.

The half yearly summoned meeting of the above lodge was held last evening, when there was a fair attendance of-, members. The Grand Matter of the district, Bro. AY. Prebble, accompanied by the Deputy Grand Master, Bro. W. Hagcn, and the corresponding secretary, Bro. A. G. Slirimpton, paid an official visit to the lodge, the Grand Master being voted to and taking tho Grand Master's chair for that evening. From the auditor's report and balance sheet the lodge still continues in a flourishing condition. The sick ,a.nd funeral fund, after payment of £235 8s -kl for sick pjiy for the half year, and interest amounting to £78 6s 8d to the surplus fund, and tho funeral levies to the district, amounting to £41 2s lid, lias a credit balance of £7790 Is 9d. The management fund has a credit balance of £l O.s 7d. The sum of £37 12s lid was paid over to the district widows' and orphans' fund. The lodge surplus fund account has a credit balance of £2050 0s lid, and tho distress fund a credit of £13 5s 6d. The total capital of the lodge now amounts to £9854 Bs,9d. The following- officers were installed in their respective positions by the Prov Grand Master: N.G. Bro H A Corder; E.S., Bro. T. Harris. The following delegates were appointed to attend the next district meeting, to be held at AVakefield:—Bros. J CorclcT, A. E. Davies, AY. Thompson! A\ Liddle, and A. N. Batchelor. The lodge surgeon, Dr Bett, the treasurer, B;o. AY. Moves, and the permanent secretary, Bro. A. N. Batchelor, still retain, their respective positions.
