Kortlang then reappeared, and at G7 Sinclair relieved Y.ogl.er. Warnc was caught at deep leg-6 for 70. Parsons was caught behind the wicket on a miss-hit—7 for 75. When Pitcher was dismissed—B for 78^—Victoria had wiped off.the deficit in 95 minutes. At Kyle's dismissal Faulkner had taken C for 22. Tho innings lasted 110 minutes. The South Africans scored tho required numbor in 15 minutes, play lasting until 6.30. The wickets fell 1 for 5, 2 for 5. Sherwell made the winning hit on a drive for four, all run.

In the Australian test team Hordern replaces MacArtney, and Matthews is 12th man.
