ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.

Adolf Trautvctter, an old man, was charged that on November 23rd lie did attempt to commit suicide. Accused elected to be dealt with summarily, and pleaded guilty. Sergeant Mullany said accused had been an inmate of tho Alexandra Home, and had cut his throat with a. razor. He had boon in good circumstances at one time, and he had re* cently practically lost his eyesight. Tluiso circumstances had combined to cause depression and led to the act. Accused said ho would promise that he^ would not repeat the attempt. The manager of the Home said tliero was no provision, at the institution for such cases. He could be taken in temporarily until the Charitable Aid Board considered the case. :

Accused was convicted and ordered t) come up for sentence when called upon, he in tho, meantime to remain in the Alexandra Home.
