The Ho.li D. Buddo, Minister for Internal Affairs., arrived in Nelson yesterday, and to-day will proceed overland to Takaka, where he will open the Golden Bay A and P Association's show on Wednesday. To-morrow the Minister will inspect the cement works at Tarakoho, and in the evening will b© entertained at a banquet by the A. and P. Association's committee.
A Perth oable message states that Sir Newton Moore, ex-Premier, is going to London as Agent-General for Westralia.
A London cable 'announces the death of tho Rev. Samuel McFarlane, a New Guinea missionary.
Mr N. L. Lawrence, of the staff of the Anchor Shipping and Foundry Company, Limited, is fearing that firm to take up a position in tho office of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency at Nelson.
. A London cable announced that Miss Marie Hall, the violinist, was married to Mr Edward Baring, her manager.
