Wanganui, Jan 25. The ratepayers in the GonvilleCastlccliff tramway district to-day carried by 405 to 24 votes, a proposal to raise* a loan of £35,000 for the construction of trannvays. Power is being supplied by the Wanganui Borough Council, and the new system will connect with the borough tramway. When the trams are installed it will be possibly to travel from Aromoho to the sea bnach, a distance of between six and seven miles. Loop lines will tap a large aroa of country between the town and Castlecliff.
