MOTUPIKO.

(Prom "Tho ColonisV Nov. 22.) ; ■ On Sunday, November' 13th, his Lordship the Bishop of Nelson dedicated the new. portion of St. Georges Church in the presence of a large congregation. The Vicar said morning prayer, and the tJishop preached from; John Iv., 24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.-"-- The service throughout was fully choral, the music being supplied by the Foxhill choir under the leadership of Mr Edridge, with Miss E. M. Hewlett as organist. The. special -psalms sung were the xxix. and cxxii. and the anthem "Walk about Zion." The offertory was devoted to the fund for the' purchase of seats for the new, portion of the church. The communicants numbered 36. The new portion of the church, which includes ten feet added to the main- "buildijig,', together .wj&h?.* - comfortable vestry-room as_ a'transcept, was; faithfully and efficiently carried out by Messrs Robertson Bros., of Brightwater, who deserve credit for the car© and pains bestowed on the work. The whole building likewise has been newly painted, and looks well both inside and out. Best of all, everything has been paid for, so that theclniroh. is quite free from debt. Tho "Bishop conducted evening service at St. George's, bo that the 13th was quite a gala day for Motupiko. During their stay at Motupiko the Bishop and Mrs Mules were- the guests of Mr aiwlMta J.
