OLD BOYS V. BRIGHTWATER.
The above game was played at Bi iglitwater on Saturday, Old Boys (minus Neale, Wright, and Webley) journeying put by drag.': The match resulted in an easy win for 'the country team by 8 wickets, after a low scoring game. " Old' Boys batted first, bnfc were soon in trouble, losing 4 for 5, Lines getting 4 for 3. Dickson then steadied things, and athough ( only 2 was in a, long time, 'and the : fifth wicket went at 23. Seven- wore down for 34, ' when Beli, a junior, joined Richmond, who had' gone in first, and the score rose to 8 for 66, but the last two did not add anything, and for the second time this season Richmond carried his bat right.-t hrough the Old* Boys' innings, scoring 46 out of 66. Lines and H. Kiiapp secured, most of the wicbets. Brightwater also started badly, losing 2 for oto Richmond's bowling. "With 7 for 49 things looked as bad as they had for Old Boys. Fearless, .however,
altered thy look of affairs, and his 27 with .Price's 25 helped to take the total to 01. Richmond and MeCabc? i got most of the wickets. Old Boys , made another bad start, losing Rich- I inond, who was splendidly "caught by Lines for one. The total reached /8, chiefly through tlio efforts, of Bisley 20, Biggar 16, Dickson 13, and J. McKay 10. Fairey played havoc at the. bowling crease, and secured 6 for 19. Requiring 54 to win Brightwater secured them for the loss of 2 wickets, T. Knapp making 29 not out.
