THE TERRA NOVA.
PREPAKATIONS AT LYTTELTON. [United Press Association.] Chrfstchurch, Nov 21. Tlie crew and staff aboard the Terra Nova wore kept busy this morning. The hulk Darra has discharged into the hold of tho Antarctic vessel the balance of tho 250 tons of coal that is to be taken from Lytteltori and a large quantity of timber from the dismantled huts is being stored- away in the hold. To-morrow the remaining stores that are waiting to h& dealt with in the Harbour Board's shed will receive the I crew's attention. : One side of the Harbour Board's 'sheet resembled an auction room this rooming. Numerous quantities of cooking utensils and parts of chairs were lying in all directions, while large bundles of clothes were being taken from cases and allotted to the shore . parties. The garments' to be worn-, by the crew of. the Terra Nova and the shore parties are made of strong mer- • into. Each man on the shore staff! is ; allotted fifty-nine assorted lots, while the members of the ship's staff will receive thirty-one. The total number of garments distributed will reach - 2972. It is probable that the Terra Nova will leave Lyttelton somewhat earlier than was expected on Saturday. The time fixed now is 3 p.m. «•. . ■
