Even play followed the bully off, Nelson doing most of the attacking, Misses Emms and Harris missing chances to score. Miss Winks then dribbled to Nelson 25, where Taranaki looked dangerous for several minutes. Good passing by Nelson, however, put Taranaki on the defence, Miss Bamford effecting a good save. Miss Winks relieved, and carried play to Nelson. 25, but giving sticks, tho free hit put Taranaki again on the defence. Nelson had several good chances to score, but the shooting was weak. Miss Andrews saved several times splendidly. Up and down play followed, and later Miss D. Boyce centred nicely, but Miss Emms was too slow to score.
