PELORUS ROAD BOARD.
[United Press, Association.] Wellington, August 22. A deputation from the . Pelorua Road Board waifed upon the Minister of Roads to-day few- assistance by way of grants towards making roads in the district. It was -pointed out that this .year "there" was" a great falling off in timber royalties and tha Board asked for a grant of ' between £2000 and £3000. ' - " ■ ■ The Minister said he would get a reparb on tho various roads mentioned, and he expressed the opinion that the maintenance of the road from Nelson to Blenheim should be a charge on the Dominion. "Don't you be surprised," tiha Minister added, "if the Government will ask you to put _tlie Counties Act into operation before long," . "
