COUNCILLORS AND SUPPLY OF GOODS.
[United Press Association.] Wellington, August 18. Councillor T. Balliuger has written to tho Mayor announcing his intention to resign on September 22nd, the. City Council having declined to accept a tender from his firm (Thomas BaOinger and Company, Limited). The action of the Council was in accordance with a resolution recently adopted by the Council in reference to -disqualification of councillors under a section of the Municipal Corporations Act:
