TAPAWERA.

(From Our Own Correspondents.) . The annual meeting of the Motueka Valley Horticultural Society was held at Tapawera on Tuesday evening, last. Mr John Rutherford occupied the chair. , The report and balance, sheet showed a credit balance of £10 17s 6d ron the year's operations. It was resolved to hold the next show on faster Monday, April 17th, 1911, and it was decided to include dog trials in the entertainments of that _tlay. _A special committee was formed for -the purpose of arranging the trials, mc election of-officers then, took place, Mr John Rutherford being re-electee, president; Messrs Alex Drummond, Geo. Macmahon, and N. were elected vice-presidents; Dr Hudson was re-elected secretary and treasurer, with the Rev. Mr Lawrence as assistant-secretary. A vote of thank to the chairman brought the meeting to a close.
