RIFLE SHOOTING.

It is some time since the Tadmor Club visited Nelson, so every effort was put forth to make the outing a pleasant one. Corporal F. Sh'arland met "the visitors at the station and drove them to the range and back. Tlie Stoke Rifles provided liberal refreshments, which were greatly enjoyed, as the day was raw and cold, necessitating a little stoking to keep the inner man going. At tho conclusion of the day's shoot the usual toasts were honoured, and cheers were exeliauged by the respective corps. The following are the results ; tho Tadmor Club fired two men short, an average being taken to make up the team. Ranges wore 500 and 600 yards with ten shots- at each :—
