SUPPOSED HOAX.

A bottle, has boon found at Cheltenham beach containing what purports to be a message from a passenger by the ill-fated Waratah. It reads:— "Let' friends communicate with my sister, iVIisE- , street, Sydney, and let her know that I am alive and well. Two of us cast on island. The b/)at.has gone down." The letter is blurred, and is signed "Bert." No importance is attached to the message, which is regarded as a hoax.
