(Received May 30, 9.30 p.m.) London, May 2.\ The General Assembly of the Chunh of Scotland, sitting at Edinburgh, welcomed representatives frqm Australia and New Zealand. The #<-v John MacKenzie, of ChristchuTch, and the Rev W. Thompson, of Masterton, the colonial deputies, delivered brief addresses, urging that Australian and New Zeaknid ministers we % re doi:ig their best to overtake the constantly increasing demands. Not money bit men wore wanted in the overseas ■!> minions. They appealed to the ClniTon of Scotland to send good men. The General Assembly of the United Free Church discussed the problems oi colonial Presbyterianism. including colonial students at Scottish universities and- theological halls. Dr Keilman said that if they were godng to send religion to Australia the sky 2>ilot must go along with the surveyor, merchant and the pionoor. Otherwise their first claim would le jumped.
