PURE JAM.
There never was art ago in which so* much attention was paid to the purity of food-stuffs, and so many are the* scares got up by food-faddists <;»_d also we fear by rival manufacturers who hope to recommend their own goods by decrying those- of othoxs> that ono is almost afraid to eat. It is therefore reassuring to read the testimony of so high an authority as Professor Black, of Otago University, to the excellence of thct "ST. GEORGE" JAMS. '■ Tho Professor's report is based upon a personal inspection of the St. George Works, as well as upon a careful chemical analysis of the jama themselves, and as a Tesult ho states: "These jams are of excellent quality, skilfully prepared, and free from every species of adulteration." ./he <! ST. GEORGE" JAMS do not claim to bo the cheapest on the market, but they do claim to give the best possible quality of jam at the mosti reasonable price. Made as they aro from the choicest fruits of the Te,viots District in Central Otago, they have a rich "fruitiness" of flavour that ia not found in other makes. Sometimes grocers can get more profit out of a cheaper jam, and aro therefore more inclined to push it, but any good grocer will get "ST. GEORGE" for you if you ask him. Packed in 21b 6crew jars, lib tins, and also large tins suitable for hotel use.
