A BLACK DAMP SCARE. MEN CEASE WORK. (Received May 29, 5 p.m.) London, May 28. As a sequel to- the Whitehaven colliery disaster 900 workers in a pit adjoining the ill-fated colliery, decided to cease work for a fortnight, alleging the appearance of black damp.
