Messrs George Thomas and Co, of "Wellington, report as follows: A strong demand, for choice attractive dessert apples, •■including Jonathans and Doughoriys, lab prices from 7s iipwarrts; Stunners, ■ fair clematul at 4s • and ss; cook--ing sorts -rather ■ over supplied; 3s 6d" to 4s 4-d are obtainable for Wolscleys and /Cambridge Pippins, while Epp's seedlings are not worth more than 3s to 3s Gel. Cooking pears poor demand at 3s Gd and 4s, but 'attractive dessert, sorts wanted af 7s to 9s. Capo Gooseberries are selling at 3d per lb, but the soason a.nd the demand - is about over. Choice dry walnuts 5d a lb. Fresh ogp;s are dull at \Ls Sd per dozen ; preserved ] s -id to 1 s udv Mixed fowls 3s to 3s Cd. and ducks 5s per jpair.
