The Otago Union asked that two days be set apart for the annual meeting of the New Zealand Union, in view of the late .hour at which last year's meeting ended. It was decided that the delegates could adjourn to a second day if circumstances warranted it. • .. The New South Wales Union wrot stating that an American Universit, team would leave for Australia oi May 20th, and will consist of % players. It was decided to play a practice match on June 3rd, between the New Zealand representative team for Australia and a Wellington team, the Wellington Union to get two-thirds of tha net gate receipts, as rental of ground. The selectors of the New Zealan< team were appointed as follows :— S Wilson, Christchurch ; H. Harris Otago; V. R. Meredith, Wellington and D. Gallagher, Auckland. Th< team will be selected not later thai May 21st, and nominations to be in vited from the unions forthwith. Mr C. Wray Palliser, representative of the New Zealand Union in London, cabled that alterations in the laws oi the game, previously decided upon, at a meeting of the Internationa] Board had been confirmed. It was docided to instruct unions to adopt the new rules. The applications for reinstatement from two players in South Canterbury and one at Petone (disqualified for playing the Northern Union game) wero. refused.
