A meeting ; of . councillors of the Borough of New Plymouth and representative ratepayers of the suburban areas decided to-night to submit to the ratepayers a proposal to form t tramway rating area in connection with the proposal to instal an electric tramway system, estimated i 4 cost about £46,000, the motive power being derived from the municipal electric lighting aiid power installation.
