Palmerston North, April 12. Tho locality of the Powelka pursuit has been shifted to Bunnythorpe. Between 3 and 4 o'clock this moming a maiv passing through the township was challenged by the police, but he refused to stop. The policeman fired over .the head of the man, who dropped a bag, and fled across a paddock. The bag contained cooked 'food. ■ Half an hour later the safe of a settler named Larsen was robbed of ' meat and other food. The police have : scoured the country in that direction. Sergt. Maguire' s condition is about the samci, no unfavourable Bymptoms .having set in. \ ■
