RIWAKA ROAD BOARD.
The usual meeting of the above Board was held on Thursday last, there being present Messrs J. Rowling (chairman), W. Rowling, Barnett, Franklin and James. Correspondence was received from — Department of Roads, Nelson, enclosing schedule of "thirds'" and scheme of expenditure to be filled in by the Board ; Waimea County Council notifying payments into the Bank of New Zealand to the Board's credit of £25 12s 2d, balance of 1808-9 rate, and of £100 first instalment of 1909-10 rate ; Mr G. M. Budden forwarding his resignation as clerk of the Board, the resignation to take effect on May sth, 1910; The following resolutions were passed :-rThat the resignation of Mr G. H, Budden be accpted with regret, and the Board place on record their appreciation of the many services h© has rendered while secretary of the Board. That applications for the position of clerk to tho Board, be invited, to be sent in to the present secretary not later than April 30th. That the secretary make all arrangements necessary for the forthcoming general election of the Board. That the members of the Board meet at the factory corner to examine site of bridge near Mr T. Inglis senr's. residence, with power to act, on Saturday 16th inst. That Mr Lowe be requested to remove fence to correct boundary west of the footbridge, to the first crossing of creek.
