RECORD SALE AT NEW YORK. [Press Association— Copyright.] London, April 8. Forty of the late Mr Charles Yerkes' pictures wore sold at .auction m New York and realised £134,000, including Duveen's purchase of J tinier's picture, "Rockets and lilu<i Lights," for £25,800. It proved a record day's sale. (Received April 10, 5 p.m.) London, Apm v. The sale of Yerkes' Pictures and other art objects realised £4Ub,»yu. Halss' portrait of a Roman brought £27,400; and two carpets from the Ardebil Mosque £12,500.
