The "Spectator," the ."Standard," and other newspapers indicate that the moderate Liberals are " objecting to the King on the eve of a dissolution being asked to give an assurance that he will, create peers if the Liberals gain a victory at the elections. Tho Master of Elibank, speaking at Manchester, declared that the crisis would arise from the hour when the Government was notified of the House of Lords' rejection of the first veto resolution. Shelving or any other subterfuge would be equivalent to the rejection of both tlie veto resolutions and the Budget.
