The sum or £2584 was put through the totalisator. The following arc the- results: Open Handicap: Blessbok 1, Investment 2, Miss Gift 3. Also started, Coxswain, Fandango, and Freeland. Coxswain got slightly left at the start. Blessbok went to the front and led throughout, winning easily. Tradesmen's Handicap: Mangrove 1, Montague 2, Wairarapa 3.
