FIRE AT GISBORNE.

I ' ; v Clsborne, March 30. A destructive fire broke <mt in Gladstone .road at 8.15 p.m^. It started at the Back of the drapery store ot .P; Hallanvjand -wentv to ait .empty •double Storey building on one side, and to' Small's laundry business premises on the other side of the street.'There was a high wind. Thojaiu and ah intervening brick wall saved the fire from catching the large two stoned wooden shop and premises of Fred Hall. Tho drapery store and the laundry business were completely burnt out, only the walls being, left standing. The buildings were iusured, but neither of the shops' contents. The amount of insurance is not obtainable to-night.
