FERRY STEAMERS COLLIDE.

[United Pkess Association.] Wellington, March 30. A collision took place in Wellington harbour to-night between the Wellington Harbour Ferries Company, Ltd steamers Cobar and Duchess. The Cobar was proceeding to Day's Bay with 38 passengers, and the Duchess was coming to town from Day's Bny. Tho vessels. collided off Point J.ernyngham, near Rosemeath.. Apparently the Duchess suffered no damage, but the Cobar began to take in water. Both vessels steamed for "Wellington, and it was decided to beach the Cooar at. Pipitoa Point, Thorndbn. All her passengers were landed safely. Tho Cobar, is how practically full of wator, but the nature and extent of her injuries arc not ascertainable at present.
