CONDEMNED BY A MINISTER. London, March 26. Sir Walter Rimciman, President of the Board of Education, speaking at South Shields, said that the eight hours principle had already dislocated trade and rendered thousands idle, and should a great strike occur the suffering would penetrate to hundreds of | thousands of homes. Nobody heeded Mr Gladstone's advice to consumers ito bestir themselves to prevent the, passage of the Bill. The consumers were chieflyto blame, but both , political parties were culpably responsible for allowing themselves to be bullied and cajoled; into adopting a sinister policy.
