DISSOLUTION OF THE UNIONIST FREE TRADE CLUB.
A FREE TRADE CAMPAIGN
(Received March 23, 10.30 p.m.) London, Marcli 23. Tho Unionist Freetrade Club has wound up owing to differences of opinion relating to tlie importance of freetrade over other political issues. Lord James of Hereford. Sir Fredk Bullock, and other members have joined the Freetrade Union, which was hitherto predominantly Liberal. The Union's executive has premised to co-operate with representative Unionist Freetraders.
Lord Beauchamp, President, states that the Union has rcceivod £10,000 in addition to the £6000 collected by the "Daily Chronicle," for the purpose of an independent freetrade campaign before the election.
Sir Edward Grey, addressing a freetrade demonstration in London, declarod that tariff reform would make British politics not only profligate but corrupt, and introduce seeds of disunion and disruption of the Empiro.
