As a rule he has contented himself with long steady work, .pulling a regular 21 or 22, and occasionally 25. When Whelch went over the course he paddled a couple of miles and quickened to 26, and finished at 30 bveivthe Jast half-mile. . , .. The final deposit is to be paid on Monday, and the courso will be definitely settled ou Thursday next week.
