AMUSEMENTS.
ROYAL STANDARD PICTURES. One of the best programmes yet listed was shown for the first time at the- bi-weekly change at the Druids' Hall last night, and was thoroughly enjoyed by a large audience that occupied all the seating capacity of tho building. In a splendid all round bill .the pride of place anay be given to a fine specimen of American manufacture, entitled "A Dash to Death," hi which the villain of the piece is escaping by a motor car from the hero, who is pursuing him in ..another oar. The finale is reached-by the leading car breaking through a fence at a sharp turn and falling a hundred feet over the cliffs of a disused quarry. Another good romantic story is .screened," Valeric of Issogne." . "Sweden's Canals," "Out Banana Supply," and "From the Cape to Cairo," are all interesting travel pictures. As laughter raisers the humorous pictures would take a lot of beating, "The Adventures of a Watch" and "Foolhead Pays Jtlis Debts," being probably voted toe best yet shown here. Tie same bill will run two nights longer.
