SHOOTING.
NELSON RIFLES. On Wednesday last a competition for Lieutenant Johnson's trophy was fired, consisting of 10 shots at 200 yards, when Private W. Brown, with 47, secured tho leg-in. Saturday's competition was for the Shield aggiegate and prize-money for each class. For the aggregate some tall shooting was done, Corporal Manssen making 96 out of 100. Tho aggregate consisted of 10 shots at 200 and 500 yards, aud the following ar« the scores :—
