At the last meeting of the Loyal Nelson- Lodge, No 31, there was a good attendance. The newly elected officers were, installed as follows: Past Chief Templar, Bro Preen ; Chief lemplar, j Sister Mrs Fairey ; Vice Templar Sis- . ter A. Heise; Superintendent of Juvenile Work, Sister C. Watson; Socretary, Bro Oarins (re-elected) ; assist- . ant Secretary, Sister F Bartlett;| Treasurer, Bro Braddock (re-elected) , ( Chaplain, Sister M. McKenzie,; Financial Secretary, Sister Mrs Campbell;! Marshal, Bro Simpson; Assistant* Marshal, Sister Westrupp ; Guard, Bro Campbell; Sentinel, Bro Vercoe. | * Tho reports of tho various officers ■■ -.vor© adoptcfl. Thoy showed the lodge to be in a robust condition, and j the finances sound and healthy, lne j attendance during the summer time • has been exceptionally good, as at that season of the yenr there is generally a falling off. The financial members were reported to number 88. A vote of thauks was accorded to .* the retiring officers, and Bro Preen responded. _ , Bro Bond was recommended tor a second term as Lodge Deputy. • The various working committees were appointed. . At the conclusion of the business refreshments were provided by the. sisters.
