The Post Office notifies that in order to afford facilities for thcj transmission by telegraph of Christmas and New Year greetings special printed telegraph forms for such greetings may bo obtained at all telegraph andtelephone offices for us:e on and Ixv tween tho 20th- and 24th. and 27th, and 31st December. Such telegrams «ill be dolii'crod at- the principal tdegraph offices on cards i>r,nring views of New Zealand scenery, etc. At other offices the telegrams will be written on ordinary forms. A uniform charge of sixnenco for each, such telegram will beniade., provided the address and signature do not contain more than eleven words. If, however, the text as printed is varied in any way, or other words added thereto, the telegram will be treated as an ordinary one ami charged accordinglyv
At the annual meeting of the "Dominion" Company (says a Press Association telegram), the Hon.- . 0. J. Johnston, chairman, said • the profit and toss account' showed in comparison with the previous year a material saving in the gross expenditure, while the revenue had increased by several thousand pounds. The. directors dta uot anticipate that it would be necessary to call up much, if any more capital. The crucial paricxl-liacl boen passed, in fact a considerable trade depression, without material check -of any kind, .and the directors were, "well satisfied Mr. J.
