PERJURY AND FALSE DECLARATION.

Isabella Dixon, a widow, and daughter of Annie Thompson, who pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court to charges of perjury and making a false declaration in regard to the hirth of her child, was put forward for sentdnce. Air Hayes appeared for the prisoner, and urged that she should have the benefit of the First Offenders' Probation Act. His Honour repeated his remarks in regard to the serious naturo of the charges, butejn the special circumstances the prisoner, would be ordered to como up "for sentence when cailled upon.
