E. Simmons v. G. Henry. This was the first of the two special six minute round bouts, and the . match was worth going a long way to see. Simmolls scaled Bst 71b and Henry Bst 41b. Both young fellows were in fine condition and arc good friends, the bout being fought in the very best of spirit, but there was no playing, the men being equally willing, and the whole six rounds were very fast. Henry's strong point was an effective •straight left which scored time and again, but Simmons came up smiling every time aud usually responded by scoring on his opponent, and his rushing tactics frequently, put Henry on the ropes. Each round saw good interchanges of blows but Henry got home more frequently and cleaner. "In the last round Henry asserted his superiority more markedly and the rouaid was /distinctly his.
