Wellington, Nov 29. The annual meeting of the Council of the New: Zealand Amate.ur Athletic Association was held to-night. Dr A; Kv Jfewman, the : president,- occupied the__eiiair. vThe officers were ejected, as follows: President, A. Marrvat (Dr Newman finding his public duties prevented him again accepting the position); vice presidents,- W. Larkin (Wellington), E. L. Chaffey (Canterbury) auditor, G. D. -Morpeth ; hc-n. secretary and treasurer, W. G. Talbot. The championship meeting fOFjL9O9---10 was allotted to Auckland, no date being fixed./ Reinstatements were madei as follows : W. J. Munro (Otago), D Stewart (SouthlandJyWm; Henry Hagen (Petone), Wm T. .H-.- Owejns (Hokitika). It was decided that L: J-'Furrie, A. W. Hall, and E. W. Echlingtoin (Palraerston North) bereiustated as. the reinstatement committee are satisfied that, they did- not compete as professionals while the. Mahawatu Amateur Athletic Club was in existence.

The application of T. W. Leslie. (Wellington) for reinstatement is to be forwarded to 'the Australasian Union with a recommendation from the Council that the ispecial circumstances of the case be taken into consideration.

In : connection with .: the proposed visit .-of Wheatley and Davis; .to the Dominion it was decided to ask , them if they could commence their tour the first: week in .-January, finiahing with the ehampionship^rneeting at Auckland.

It was decided to ask the opinion of the various centres throughout the Dominion as to the advisability of levying a small capitation fee on membera: or clubs towards the expenses of representatives at the Olympic- game;: at Home.
