On Saturday afternoon the members assembled at their court at Belgrove for the purpose of opening tho surison. This function Should have taken place on Friday but owing to tho wet weather was postponed. Tho opening .however, was not in tho least effected, both young and old bein gwoll represented. Th? president, -Ur. P. Biggins, in a <neat speech welcomed the company and spoko of til© good work and energy of tlie secretary Mr. E. K. AurleiWi, and the treat*uror, Mirs M. Price. Miss H. liiggins, daughter of tho president, was called upon to play tho first ball, which she did in good 'stvl« Rofivthmonts w«e again supplied by the ladies and th? good things provided were highly appreciated by those present.
