■ A , m ,T "."^e&sfiil dance was hold in the l'oxiull schoolroom under the auspices of the tennis club, on Friday evening. The music was kindly budplied by Air and Miss lW Miss Palmer and Miss K. Palmer also assistmjr- . Mr J W Watson made a very efficient M.C. Dancing was kept up until some time after midnight. J he lady members of the club supply. • nig tm> refreshments and ait? deserving of credit for the way i» which they mloivstod themselves for tho bwieht of the club. The financial result proved most satisfactory Tho piano lor the dance was kindly lent by Mr. Mayo. On Saturday afternoon the members assembled at their court at Belgrove for the purpose of opening tho surison. This function Should have taken place on Friday but owing to tho wet weather was postponed. Tho opening .however, was not in tho least effected, both young and old bein gwoll represented. Th? president, -Ur. P. Biggins, in a <neat speech welcomed the company and spoko of til© good work and energy of tlie secretary Mr. E. K. AurleiWi, and the treat*uror, Mirs M. Price. Miss H. liiggins, daughter of tho president, was called upon to play tho first ball, which she did in good 'stvl« Rofivthmonts w«e again supplied by the ladies and th? good things provided were highly appreciated by those present.
