There, was a large attendane© of ministers and bMoys. The retiring Moderator (Rev Jas Chishqlm) conducted flbhe^ devotional exercises which proceded the formal constitution, of the Assembly. After- it was reported; tihat ,it . was agreeable to the recommendation of . -the : lfjst assembly the Rev Isaac Jolly M.A., was proposed as Moderator and was unanimously elected. The Assembly having .signified- its assent to' this the Moderator was introduced arid installed by the retiring Modera- ; tor. "The newly elected Moderator then delivered his address* -to the Assembly. Several committees were set up.
