I «» Tho Wellington-Naples despatch of mails of the 17th of September arrived in London on the afternoon of the 2ut'h instant. Intending exhibitors at the forthcoming show of the Nelson A. and P. Association are reminded that entries for all classes close at the office of the secretary, Richmond, on Wednesday 10th of November. Late entries may bo sent in up tiill Saturday 13th November, but ait double fees only. Entry fees must accompaaiy all entries otherwise same will be refused. The Nelson No License League are making a new departure in connection with their annual meeting to be held in the Foresters' Hall to-morrow evening. After ia short business session the social element will be made prominent. A good programme of musical and other items will be submitted and refreshments provided. A number of invitations have been, issued, but all interested are invited. A collection for the League funds will be taken. At the Magistrate's Court yesterday judgment by default for plaintiffs was given in tho following civil actions, E. Richards (Mr Milner) v. S. E. Smith, £2 13s 6d and costs 19s;. same v. G. Smith £2 and costs 17s ; J. T. Hayca (Mr Hayes) v. B. Beit, £6 2s 2d and costs £1 7s 6d ; James Delaney (Mr Gully) v Edward Hctr*is?, £7 3s 5d and costs £1 3s 6d. A number of cases iivere struck out for non appearance of parties and a large number were adjourned.
