The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather forecast to 3 p.m. to. day: — Moderate to strong westerly winds are probable north of Auckland, but expect high, westerly winds elsewhere, and probably veering to southerly within 36 hours, the barometer falling generally in the meantime; rain InS cloudy .weather probable everywhere, and colder shortly.
