THE EASTER HOLIDAYS.
.» The town corps will parade at the Drill Hall this evening, prior to entraining for Tapawera, the scene of this year's Easter Encampment. The Ma rlborough volunteers will arrive early to-morrow morning, and proceed to Tapawera by train. The Marlborough Mounted Rifles, the Takaka Mounted Rifles, and the Motueka Mounted Rifles are riding overland from their respective districts, and should reach the scene of operations to-morrow. The usual Easter bowling tournament will commence to-morrow, when both the Nelson and Maitai greens will be fully 'occupied with visiting and local "bowlers. Rinks are being sent from Thorndon; Blenheim, Picton and Takaka, and some very interesting matches may be anticipated. The 57th anniversary of the Richmond Baptist Church wall be celebrated to-morrpw, also the anniversary of the Spring Grove Church of Christ. On Easter Saturday afternoon a football match' will be played at Trafalgar,' Park between teams from the Albion and.Petone Clubs. The St. John's hockey team, from Westport,. will play a match at Motueka against a local team on Saturday. The principal fixture's for Easter Monday 'are the .Friendly. Societies' sports at Motueka, the" Motueka Valley Horticultural Society's show at Tapawera, and the anniversary celebrations in connection with the Shed-wood-Lodge of Druids at". Tapawera-, and the Motueka Horticultural Society^ show at Motueka. On Easter Monday morning the St. Johns-team (Westport) will play a mixed local team, and in the afternon the Grey month representatives will play the Nelson representatives at the Botanical Reserve.
